My husband and I both had ink jet printers that seemed suck the ink right out of the cartridges. Between my husbands job and my home school printing, we print a lot! Every other week we were purchasing ink. It was draining our pocketbooks!
Then my husband went to Office Depot and did some research. He found that laser printer ink costs less then ink jet ink. Go figure! We were paying $36 a month (2 black cartridges) on ink jet ink. With the laser printer we spend $35 (1 cartridge) every 3 months on black ink. About $12 a month instead of $36!! Yes, you have to pay the $35 up front for the cartridge, but it is well worth it!! And the laser printers were not that expensive either. My husband shopped around and found them on sale for about $120 each. Bless the Lord for Tax Refunds!!
I know that there are a lot of people that refill their cartridges with ink. I have gone that route. But the cartridges I used to use were not easy to fill, and still cost more to have them filled at the store than the laser printer ink.
So, do your research. You may find a cheaper way!
Happy Saving!!
