How many greeting cards do you buy each year?
There are birthdays, holidays, get well, congratulations, baby, and thank you cards being purchased all the time.
I have to give cards to parents, parent in-laws, grandparents, grandparent in-laws, 3 sets of brother and sister in laws, and last but not least 7 nieces and nephews. Not to mention my good friends at Church, and my close neighbors. If I purchased cards for all of them, I would probably go in debt!
I give about 30 birthday cards and 30 Christmas cards each year. As well as the odd cards on Valentines Day and Thanksgiving. I would spend about $100 a year if I had to purchase them. And that would be buying the cheap $1 cards from Hallmark!
So, how do I do it?? I make my own!!
You can buy scrapbook supplies at Walmart and make your own cards for less than 25 cents each. I myself like to rubber stamp. I have purchased stamp sets at the craft store using 40% off coupons in the newspaper. I also find cheap stamps and scrapbook supplies on Ebay.
So, I purchase 2 big packs of scrapbook card stock, some ink from the craft store, and poof....all the cards I need for about $20 a year!!
Give it a try....you just might like it!

We send out around 50 various greeting cards. For those I buy about half at the Dollar General (the 2/$1). I buy some bulk (boxed cards, usually from Dayspring) on sale and with a coupon at various Chrsitian bookstores.
We send put around 200 Chrsitmas cards each year. I buy these (boxed type, religious) on sale the days after Chrsitmas. I never pay more than $.10 each.
The postage is what gets us.
