Keeping your air conditioner filter clean can save you money. If the filter gets clogged with dust and pet hair, the AC has to work harder to keep the air flowing. This can lead to a higher electric bill. We have window units that I clean once a month. I take the filter out and vacuum it, as well as clean the vented cover. Keeping it clean and unclogged will also prolong the life of your air conditioner.
