It seams that just about every time I go to the grocery store I see someone purchasing a bag of ice. WHY?!?! I am confused by the motivation of this. I know, we live near the beach and people want to keep the drinks in their cooler nice and cold. I have found a cheaper way to do just that!
Ice Packs!!
We have ice packs in our freezer all year long just begging us to be used. We have the small ones for my son, and the big ones for my DH and I. We hardly use them, yet they sit there. My husband had the idea of using the ice packs instead of purchasing ice. They worked just as nice, and with out anything to clean up afterwords.
So, next time you want to fill the cooler, throw in a couple of ice packs, and save some money!!
