We love Salsa. But not any salsa. There is a company in town that makes it and sells it to the local grocery stores. We realized how much we were purchasing one day, and had a thought. Why not cut out the middle man and buy it from the maker.
My husband called them up and struck a deal. We now get our Salsa fresh (made the same day) and for $1 cheaper a container. We have to purchase a case (6) at a time, but it's worth it.
We use salsa with chips, dips, salads, tuna, chicken, brochette, omelets, and anything else we can think of. It's fresh, has no chemicals or additives, and is good for us.
Of course not everything can be purchased from the manufacturer, but some local things can!
Happy Saving!!
