There seems to be competition these days between CVS and Walgreens Pharmacies. They both put coupons in their ads for a $25 gift card for a transferred prescription. And since my husband is on 9 different medications, why not take advantage of it!!
Last year I transferred 3 prescriptions to CVS from Walgreens and got $75 in gift cards. And it was well worth driving 5 minutes in the other direction once a month for it!
Last week I transferred a prescription to Walgreens from CVS and got a $25 gift card. It came in handy last week when I was low on tp!!
SO, if you have both these pharmacies close to each other ( which they usually are) than take advantage of the extra money you can get by transferring a prescription.
