Tip # 20 Make Your Own Dinner Napkins

Do you have get togethers with neighbors, friends, and family? Do you regularly shop for napkins and other table wear to keep from having the same old thing on the table?

I checked out the prices of table linens, and the prices have skyrocketed since I purchased my last set (6 yrs ago). Why pay $2.50 to $5.00 each for cloth napkins when you can make your own?

Most fabric stores carry a variety of holiday prints. And most have coupons in the paper or online. I love JoAnne Fabrics when it comes to variety. You can get the exact color or style you want at a great price. Sure, it will take some time to cut and sew, but think about all the money you can save!

Don't have a sewing machine? You don't need one!! The fabric stores carry the 'No Sew' tape that you use with your iron. When my sewing machine was 'sick', I used it to make my son a toy bag to take with him in the car. It has been over a year, and the hem is still in perfect condition!

There is a great napkin tutorial over at Tammy's Time blog. She has pictures and details on how she made her napkins. Check it our here.

Happy Saving!
