"Upcycling is the practice of taking something that is disposable and transforming it into something of greater use and value." (quote from Wikipedia.com)
I have found many ways to upcycle and save money!
I use my empty spaghetti and mayo glass jars to store beans, rice, flour, and popcorn in the pantry
I save and reuse round food containers (butter, sour cream, ect) for leftovers.
I cut up old clothing that would never sell on Ebay ( stains and holes) and reuse the zippers, fabric, buttons and snaps.
I make tags out of food boxes and sell them in my Etsy shop.
I reuse bubble wrap and brown mailers when shipping items.
I save the lint from the dryer and put it outside in the fall for the birds to fill their nests.
I save egg shells and other natural food waste and put them in the garden to help fertilize the fruits and veggies.
So, before you throw out that jar, container, or bubble wrap, think about how much money it can save you by giving it another use!!
Happy Saving!
