We are those people that stop at McD's or BK on a road trip. We can rack up about $50 a day doing this. Then we decided to use the grocery store for our meal, and we saved so much money. We purchased sandwiches and chips at the deli, and fruit from the produce section. For about $20 we had a whole days worth of food that was healthy.
